Alison has had extensive experience as a singer and, following a Purcell Room debut, has appeared at most of the major London concert halls. Performing as part of a voice/harp duo, she has fulfilled recital engagements at many music clubs and festivals, and has also broadcast on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3.
On the operatic stage Alison has performed with Kent Opera, English Bach Festival, London Opera Players and London Opera Factory, with whom she filmed Harrison Birtwistle’s ‘Yan Tan Tethera’ for Channel 4 television. Roles performed include Mercedes (Carmen), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Suzuki (Madame Butterfly), Rosina (The Barber of Seville), Second Lady (The Magic Flute) and Hansel (Hansel and Gretel).
Engagements abroad include a tour of the Far East singing Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), and several performances/recordings in France with the Monteverdi Choir. She worked for several seasons at Opera de Lyon, including making recordings with the company and touring to Germany and the USA.
As a member of Triple Time, she has released a CD of vocal duets.
